In Los Angeles, a truck plowed through a gathering of people.

A spokeswoman for the Los Angeles Police Department told that six individuals were brought to the hospital and three others rejected treatment after the vehicle went off the road near MacArthur Park and hit the gathering of people on Saturday morning.

According to the Associated Press, the driver of the black Dodge originally parked his car along the boardwalk on Saturday. According to authorities, the driver, a passenger, and all of the pedestrians suffered minor injuries.

The driver allegedly claimed that he saw someone point a pistol at him, causing him to become distracted and drive off the road, colliding with people, however, the LAPD has not substantiated this claim.

The event has resulted in no arrests, and the LAPD said the investigation into the cause of the collision is still underway.
