Johnny Depp will feature in drug documentaries following his defamation trial

  • After winning the blockbuster case against Amber Heard, Johnny Depp’s next project has been revealed
  • The actor will star in the drug documentary Boston George.
  • The forthcoming project from the Pirates of the Caribbean star will be available on the streaming service Fandor on July 22.

The film will tell the life of George Jacob Jung, a drug trafficker and smuggler depicted by Depp in the 2001 film Blow.

The five-part documentary series, produced by Georgette Angelos and Chris Chesson and directed by Clint Choate, will reveal the Hollywood A-listers’ interviews.

According to the IMDb page for the series, Depp described the smuggler as “one of my favourite persons straightaway” and “a really lovely outlaw” who had a productive life of lawbreaking.

Meanwhile, after defeating his ex-wife in the blockbuster lawsuit, Depp has a full calendar ahead of him, including a collaboration with Jeff Beck and a possible role in the Beetlejuice sequel.

Furthermore, a former Disney official informed People magazine that Depp would reprise his role in Pirates of the Caribbean.

“I firmly feel that ‘Pirates’ is poised for a remake with Johnny as Capt. Jack back on board,” the site said on Monday.
