  • Lady Colin Campbell, a socialite and royal specialist, said it was so they wouldn’t be lumped in with the “never-was” royals.
  • They were meant to be travelling with third-tier members of the Royal Family.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry reportedly arrived at St Paul’s Cathedral 50 minutes late on purpose to avoid being “lumped with never-was.”

Lady Colin Campbell, a socialite and royal specialist, made this remark in an interview with GB News.

“They were meant to be in the bus with all the third-tier royals,” she was reported as adding.

“They arrived 50 minutes late for their Clarence House meeting to ensure they didn’t miss the bus and would appear later.”

“The processions are performed in decreasing or increasing sequence,” she continued.

“While entering the building, the least important will go first and the most important will go last, and vice versa when exiting.”

“When they realised they’d been thrown in with the never-was royals, they resolved to be late and miss their slot.”
