Pak vs WI: West Indies captain Nicholas Pooran won the toss and elected to bat in the inaugural day-night international against Pakistan.

The visitors added Romario Shepherd and Rovman Powell to the squad that defeated the Netherlands at Amstelveen in their most recent ODI on Saturday.

For Pakistan, wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Haris, age 21, makes his ODI debut, while spinning all-rounders Shadab Khan and Mohammad Nawaz return after missing the April series against Australia due to injury.

The three-match series is part of the One-Day Super League, which is the qualification round for the 2023 World Cup. Each match is worth ten points.

The last two matches will be played on Friday and Sunday at Multan.
