- PM directs to form task force for investment

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif directed to form a task force to increase investment in various sectors.
As per details, the premier asked to abolish all taxes on raw materials of export industries. On the directives of PM, a task force is also formed for tourism, pharma, IT, E-commerce, large-scale manufacturing and agriculture.
PM Shehbaz was of the view that the incumbent government is striving hard to ensure the production of export quality agricultural commodities adding that it has been the first time that a government is taking a look at the continuity of policies.
While expressing his views, Shehbaz Sharif said that country’s economy and people’s welfare is beyond politics.

On the other hand, a delegation of the American Business Council called on PM Shehbaz in Islamabad.
The meeting was attended by representatives of Pharma, Food Processing, IT Sector, E-Commerce, Retail Sector, Textile, Sports and Logistics sectors.
The Prime Minister directed the Secretary of Commerce and the Secretary of Investment Board to resolve the problems of investors immediately.
“All issues should be reported within a week,” he added.
Earlier, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif Tuesday, reiterating his call for a Charter of Economy, said it was high time all the stakeholders joined hands to formulate an unalterable policy framework for making the country achieve agro-based and export-oriented growth.
Addressing the Pre-Budget Conference here, he said the enhancement of exports and agricultural yield, and financial management should be the major components of the plan.
