According to a spokesperson of the ministry of religious affairs, the first flight for Hajj 2022 took off from Islamabad International airport to Medinah at midnight. PK-747 will jet off at 8:30 PM for Medinah. 106 flights will be operational from Pakistan, and 32,000 pilgrims will travel to Saudia Arabia.

42 flights will be operational in ‘Road to Mecca’ project from Islamabad, the spokesperson told BOL News.

The spokesperson told that Pakistan International Airlines(PIA) will operate 331 flights. The planes will take off from 5 International airports of Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Quetta.

 

The ministry has strictly informed the pilgrims to refrain from going to ‘Riaz al-Jannah’ without the permission of Saudi officials. The pilgrims should follow the rules and regulations made by the Hajj management in Medinah, the spokesperson said.

The flights will be operational in Pakistan from June 6 to July 3. The pilgrims will be brought back to Pakistan from July 14 to Aug 13.

Chairman of Pakistan Ulema Council Tahir Ashrafi has emphasized that Hajj pilgrims should refrain from political and religious debates while performing Hajj. The Saudi officials have banned any political or religious activities during the pilgrimage.
