LAHORE: On Monday, Chief Minister of Punjab Hamza Shehbaz condemned the derogatory statement of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Nupur Sharma, BOL News reports.

CM Punjab discussed mutual interests and political situations in a meeting with the federal ministers Salik Hussain and Shafih Hussain. He condemned the Islamophobic act by the BJP official on media where Nupur Sharma uttered blasphemous remarks about Holy Prophet (SAWW).

No civilized society can tolerate any blasphemy of Holy Prophets, says Hamza Shehbaz in a meeting with federal ministers.

On Sunday, The Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif also condemned BJP’s derogatory remarks on Twitter and said, “I condemn in the strongest possible words hurtful comments of India’s BJP leader about our beloved Prophet (PBUH). [I have] said it repeatedly India under Modi is trampling religious freedoms and persecuting Muslims. The world should take note and severely reprimand India.”

Hamza Shehbaz also took this matter on Twitter on Sunday and said, “The Muslim world should record a protest against BJP’s spokesperson’s vicious and blasphemous statement in honor of the Holy Prophet. For a Muslim, nothing is more important than the Holy Essence of the Holy Prophet.”
