Recently, we have taken an interview of a girl who learnt calligraphy by herself inspiring the Pak steama serial Alif during the lockdown of Covid-19.
Alishba Nisar a Bachelor’s student in the Department of Computer Sciences at Hamdard University Karachi, now is a Calligrapher She has two brothers and one sister. She is the younger one. Calligraphy is a Sufi Art in which an artist shows live, affection and devotion to Allah. People’s opinion regarding social and electronic medium is that its dramas are not giving fruitful result and which are not developing the society towards a better way but damaging the mind of people due to its subjects which are mostly contrary to our society and culture. Besides this we see that mome dramas which have good subjects are motivating and learning the people. Specially youth are inspiring and getting knowledge of all field.
ALI is one of them which subject rounds between a father and son who are full of love with Allah. Both live in Turkey. The son is a good calligrapher: Once he sees a Turkish famous dancer and falls in love with her, due to his grave love, he gives calligraphy up and starts to paint the picture of his love
The most people of different walks of life passed their respective times in different useless works during the period of Covid-19 Lockdown but the 21 year old girl, Alishba, spent her time in a useful work. In lockdown days after watching a l’ak drama serial Alif she inspired its subject and decided to learn calligraphy by herself. She knew nothing about calligraphy but it was her fond which learnt her. In a short period, she learnt the calligraphy without a teacher. Ist an interview she disclosed that she didn’t know about calligraphy even to hold a paintbrush but it was my fond which learnt me calligraphy. In the beginning, she painted calligraphy by using a make-up brush instead of paintbrush. Now, she has made a lot of tremendous canvases of calligraphy. She also disclosed that she was not earning from her passion but in future she will maybe convert her passion into profession.
She has made many paintings of Allah’s name beautifully. The above calligraphy painting of Alhamdulillah’ is one of them which indicates her fond and scope of her thoughts. In the above painting different colors are used as shown in the painting. Her work shows that Alishba will be a good calligrapher in future who proves that any work can be learnt without any teacher but her fond. Alishba is not the only one in this field but many people are in the calligraphy field.
