Three major Indian films were released this week in Bollywood. Chandraprakash Dwivedi’s Samrat Prithviraj, starring Akshay Kumar, Manushi Chhillar, Sanjay Dutt, and Sonu Sood; Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Vikram, starring Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi, and Fahadh Faasil; and Sashi Kiran Tikka’s Major, starring Adivi The three films grossed roughly Rs. 85 crore worldwide, with Vikram dominating by more than 400 percent.
By a large margin, Kamal Haasan’s film alongside Vikram had the best box office opening of his career in bollywood. The Lokesh Kanagaraj-directed film has a worldwide gross of Rs. 58 crore. In India, the film grossed more than Rs. 32 crore, with 22 crore coming from Tamil Nadu. It brought in $3.25 million from outside, with North America and the Middle East being big contributors. Vikram’s second-day box office performance is fantastic. The film is on its way to become one of the highest-grossing Tamil films of all time at the end of its run.
Samrat Prithviraj, starring Akshay Kumar, had a poor first day at the box office, grossing only roughly Rs 14 crore globally. The Hindi original of the film grossed Rs. 11.70 crore in India, while the dubbed versions grossed Rs. 5 lakh. The overseas collections are roughly $250k, which is a pittance. On day two, the historical drama hasn’t progressed much, and the film is destined for failure.

The box office for Major is a mixed bag. The worldwide first day gross is Rs. 13.5 crore. The film grossed Rs. 8.5 crore in India, with the Telugu version accounting for the majority of the revenue. It made 650 thousand dollars from overseas, which is a fantastic amount. For a positive outcome, the picture must develop during the weekend and maintain its momentum during the week.
