A jury in Fairfax, Virginia has found in favour of Johnny Depp after seven weeks of explosive testimony in the $100 million defamation dispute between him and Amber Heard.
The actor was granted $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages for his role in Pirates of the Caribbean.

At 3 p.m., Judge Penney Azcarate summoned the jury to pronounce the verdict at the Fairfax County Courthouse in Fairfax, Virginia, where the trial had been going on for seven weeks.
‘I feel disappointed’
Heard described the decision as a “setback” for women.
“The disappointment I feel today is beyond words. I’m heartbroken that the mountain of evidence was not enough to stand up to the disproportionate power, influence, and sway of my ex-husband,” In a statement, she said.

A small crowd of onlookers and Depp supporters gathered outside the courthouse to await the judgement, with one man wearing a ““Jack Sparrow” pirate hat and a woman holding a banner that reads: “No matter what happens today, Johnny, you are a winner!!! And the whole world knows the TRUTH!!!“
During the trial, multiple witnesses, including bodyguards, Hollywood executives, agents, entertainment business specialists, doctors, friends, and family, testified.
Hundreds of supporters of the “Pirates” actor attended the broadcast trial, which was supported by a #JusticeForJohnnyDepp social media campaign.
