Johnny Depp has filed a defamation lawsuit against his ex-wife Amber Heard, who wrote an op-ed for The Washington Post in 2018 in which she portrayed herself as “a public figure representing domestic abuse.”
Depp filed a $50 million lawsuit against the ‘Aquaman’ actress, while Heard filed a $100 million countersuit against the ‘Pirates Of The Caribbean’ actor. Her ex-husband was accused of directing a “smear campaign” against her, and his lawsuit was described as a continuation of “abuse and harassment.”
The jury has now reached a unanimous decision in the case. Depp was found not guilty by a jury.
