Next week, Prince William and Kate Middleton will join Tom Cruise on the Hollywood red carpet for the premiere of his planned sequel to Top Gun.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will attend the Top Gun: Maverick premiere on Friday, according to People magazine, with the event set for May 19 in London’s Leicester Square.
While Prince William and Kate are expected to dress up for the red carpet, it won’t be the first time they see the highly anticipated sequel; they were reportedly treated to a special world-first screening of the film last month by series star Tom Cruise!
The royals will meet with the film’s team, including Cruise and his co-star Miles Teller, according to the magazine.
They will also have the opportunity to meet the film’s director, Joe Kosinski, as well as representatives from the film studios and The Film and TV Charity.
Prince William and Kate were last seen on the red carpet in Hollywood in 2021, when they attended the premiere of James Bond: No Time to Die with Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.
