Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, has taken over Prince Philip’s patronage, which he has held for nearly 50 years.
She has agreed to be the patron of Book Aid International.
“We are deeply honoured to announce Her Royal Highness,” Book Aid International said on Twitter. Our new Patron is the Duchess of Cornwall.”
“The Duchess of Cornwall is delighted to have taken on the patronage of @Book Aid from HRH The Duke of Edinburgh,” the Clarence House said on Camilla’s behalf.

“Each year, the charity works to provide over one million new books to refugee camps, schools, community libraries, prisons and hospitals around the world.”
The UK’s main international book donation and library support charity is Book Aid International.
Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, was its previous Patron from 1966 until his death in April 2021.
