Taj Mahal controversy; petition to open 20 doors to find Hindu idols; court’s verdict
The Lucknow seat of the Allahabad High Court on Thursday excused a supplication looking for headings to open 20 rooms of the Taj Mahal in Agra to check for the conceivable presence of Hindu symbols or sacred texts, Bar and Bench revealed.
“Tomorrow you will come and request us to go to chambers from noteworthy adjudicators,” the two-judge seat of Justices DK Upadhyay and Subhash Vidyarthi reproached the applicant. “Kindly, don’t make a joke of the PIL [public interest litigation] framework.”
The appeal had been recorded by Rajneesh Singh, the responsible for the Bharatiya Janata Party’s media work area in Ayodhya.
