PTI leader said Imran Khan has never used anyone’s name in his addresses while Maryam Nawaz publicly named a serving corps commander in her speech.
He said Maryam Nawaz, being an office-bearer of the party, needs to apologise for her statement. He said, “We agree with crime minister Shehbaz Sharif that Maryam Nawaz should not be taken seriously.” However, he added that Maryam and Shehbaz need to apologise.”
He said some journalists, linked with PML-N, are doing commentary on the army which is objectionable as it is an attempt to sow dissension in the rank and file of the force.
The former minister said that this is happening even after DG ISPR has categorically said that the army should not be dragged into politics. PTI leader said that it seems that a particular group has been allowed to play openly.
He also played a compilation of excerpts of videos delivered by different leaders of the incumbent government in which they talked against the Pakistan Army. Fawad added that Imran Khan has never used anyone’s name in his speeches and how he displayed the responsibility is unmatchable.
He emphasised that the elections should be held at the earliest to normalise the atmosphere in the country.
PTI leader said there will be retaliation when statements of only action against the PTI would be given and the retaliation would not remain confined to a particular group.
He claimed that the people loathe the incumbent rulers and the only way to diffuse this hate is immediate general elections in the country.
