Dan Walker of BBC Breakfast and Sally Nugent acknowledged on the morning show that a loud bark heard during an interview came from the studio, and that the dog was unusually affectionate towards Dan.
On Bank Holiday Monday, BBC Breakfast’s Dan Walker and Sally Nugent arrived on the show, with a packed schedule ahead of them, including an impending interview regarding guiding dogs.
A loud bark could be heard in the background when the two were discussing with an MP about Prime Minister Boris Johnson, but it wasn’t coming from the MP’s house.
While Dan and Sally quickly moved on from the bark, they addressed it once the interview was over and they returned to the studio, confirming that it was their fault.
Dan said, “You might have heard a bit of barking,” prompting Sally to ask: “Do you think people did hear the giant woof halfway through that interview?”
Dan told Sally that he believes it was heard by viewers since he said it “wasn’t John” who had gone on the broadcast to talk about sports.
He said, “There was a guide dog outside,” while Sally said: “I can’t remember his name! I think there’s two. We’ve got a grown up guide dog and a six month old, I’ve already said I want the six month old by me.”
Dan and Sally welcomed dogs into set as they walked to advertisement break, but one dog seemed to be friendly towards Dan.
