With no acknowledgment given to the original artist. “Another day, another shameless version of my mother’s song,” she wrote. “No one has sought for my permission. No one has paid me royalties. Kiani also reminded her followers that she always acquires the rights to a song before covering it. Either asking for permission or paying royalties to the original artist. Because it is the ethical way to do things.

“I am alive and well; if you want to perform one of my songs, please ask me first,” Kiani said to her followers. She also stated that she has no animosity toward Kanika Kapoor or any of the other artists who have previously performed her songs. Kiani emphasised her dissatisfaction by saying, “I’m really angry with the way they all seem to go about the procedure.”
