PM Shehbaz at Masjid-e-Nabavi

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif offered the prayers of Jumma-tul-Wida, the last Friday of Ramadan, at the Masjid-e-Nabavi on the second day of his visit.

The prime minister prayed for the peace and prosperity of the country.

The members of the prime minister’s delegation also offered the prayers.

Earlier, the prime minister twice visited Roza-e-Rasool (PBUH) to pay his respects and also offer Nawafil at the holy place.

PM Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Madina Munawwara on Thursday on a three-day visit to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

During the visit, the prime minister will have bilateral interaction with the Saudi leadership, with a particular focus on advancing economic, trade, and investment ties and creating greater opportunities for the Pakistani workforce in Saudi Arabia.

The two sides will also exchange views on a range of regional and international issues of mutual interest.

Meanwhile, Religious scholars have strongly denounced the disrespectful incident that took place at the Masjid-e-Nabawi (PBUH) in Madina.

Abhorring the incident, renowned scholar Maulana Tariq Jamil said that disrespect of Haram Sharif was not acceptable in Islam.

Chief of Jamiat Ulema e Islam-F (JUI-F) Maulana Fazlur Rehman has asked the religious scholars to condemn the incident that took place at Masjid-e-Nabawi (SAWW) in their Friday sermons .

In a statement, he regretted that the sanctity of Roza e Rasool (SAWW) was not kept in mind by certain elements whilst resorting to sloganeering.

It is pertinent to mention here that earlier, when Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his delegation members arrived at the Roza-e-Rasool (SAWW), the people present there chanted slogans of “Chor Chor” (thief). The guards had rescued them from the crowd.
