According to government and media accounts, a Ukrainian lady and her three-month-old baby daughter were among eight persons killed in missile assaults on the southern port of Odesa.

According to government and media sources, at least eight persons were killed in a Russian missile strike on the southern Ukrainian city of Odesa, including a mother and a kid.
Saturday’s attack was the first major attack on or near Odesa since early April.
The Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, criticised the attack, labelling the Russians “b*****ds” for the infant’s murder.
“A three-month-old newborn girl was among those slain. What threat did she pose to Russia? “It appears that killing children is merely a new Russian Federation national notion,” he told reporters in Kyiv.
“They’re just a bunch of b*****ds… I don’t know what else to say besides b*****ds.”
The baby’s mother, Valeria Glodan, and grandmother were also murdered in the incident, according to the UNIAN news agency. Social media messages from the baby’s father and others were highlighted by the agency.
According to Zelenskyy, 18 additional people were injured in the incident on Saturday.
Russia has already fired the majority of its missile arsenal towards Ukraine, according to Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.
“Of course, they’ve still got missiles.” Of sure, they may continue to terrorise our people with missiles,” he continued.
“However, what they have already accomplished is sufficient evidence for the international community to recognise Russia as a state supporter of terrorism and the Russian army as a terrorist organisation.”
Russia has denied that its “special military operation,” which began on February 24, is targeting people.
According to the Russian defence ministry, high-precision missiles were employed to attack a logistical centre in Odesa that contained weaponry provided by the US and European nations.
It further claimed that Ukrainian special forces in Odesa were planning a “provocation involving hazardous chemical agents,” which would be blamed on Russia.
On Saturday, Russian forces killed up to 200 Ukrainian soldiers and damaged over 30 vehicles, according to the report. On Friday, Russian General Rustam Minnekayev stated that Moscow desired control of all of southern Ukraine, which Ukraine saw as indicating that Russia had more ambitious aims than its stated goal of demilitarising and “denazifying” the nation.
