Walid al-Sharif, 21, is in severe condition after reportedly being shot by Israeli police in Jerusalem.

According to his relatives, a 21-year-old Palestinian man who received a terrible head injury on Friday on the Al-Aqsa Mosque site has gone into a coma and is in critical condition.
As the holy Muslim month of Ramadan approaches its completion, Walid al-Sharif has been battling for his life amid a difficult scenario in which Israeli troops have been assaulting worshippers at Al-Aqsa complex on a near-daily basis.
Walid al-head Sharif’s or neck was hit by a sponge-tipped bullet fired by Israeli police in the early hours of Friday, according to his relatives and witnesses.
The Israeli police, on the other hand, stated that al-Sharif, a resident of Jerusalem’s Old City, collapsed and suffered a head injury while throwing stones at them.
Israeli police attacked the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, Islam’s third holiest site, early Friday. According to the Palestinian Red Crescent, Al-Sharif was one of 57 Palestinians injured in the police action.
He was taken to Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center in Jerusalem, where there was “no sign of harm from live ammunition,” according to a statement.
