According to the Petersburg Police Department, six people were shot at various locations throughout the city on Friday night.

Officials reported that there were four victims at the scene, which was located along Holly Hill Drive.
The 1800 block of Fort Mahone Street was also the scene of a shooting, and the 1800 block of Boydton Plank Road was the scene of another shooting.

There is no word on the condition of any of the victims, but they have all been transported to a local hospital.

The police chief for the city of Petersburg is on the scene at Holly Hill Drive. A team from the Virginia State Police is also working on the investigation.
