Western countries’ sanctions against Russia over Ukraine have led to a “deterioration of the Western economy,” according to Putin.

Putin stated that Russia’s inflation was stabilizing and that retail demand had normalized.

Since Russia sent troops into Ukraine on Feb. 24, Western countries have imposed unprecedented sanctions on Russia’s corporate and financial systems.
