A meeting of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) was held under the chairmanship of Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui in the late hours of Friday.

The meeting was held simultaneously in Islamabad and Karachi through a video link to discuss the current political situation in the country.

During the meeting, discussions were conducted in regards to the agreements with the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).

As per MQM-P spokesperson, Dr Khalid Maqbool has been given the authority to decide on the issue of joining the federal cabinet of Pakistan.

Convener Khalid Maqbool elucidates on the matter that the agreements with PPP and PML-N were in the public interest and their implementation would help the development of Sindh.

The MQM leaders also took into consideration the offer made to join the federal cabinet and the decision was left with Khalid Maqbool.
