During the 2022 Grammy Awards event in Los Angeles, comedian Trevor Noah revealed that meeting the popular South Korean band BTS was the most happy experience of his life.
After an audience member asked, “We’re wanting to hear, what was it like to talk to BTS?” during a commercial break on The Daily Show, Trevor, who previously presented the 64th Annual Grammy Awards, pondered on meeting the members of the worldwide success k-pop band.
“You know, they say sometimes when you have too much joy in a moment, you sort of blank it out,” Trevor said in a Behind the Scenes video posted on April 13.
The African-American singer continued to sing the group’s praises, praising them not just for being “the greatest set of individuals you’ll ever meet,” but also for their skill.
He continued, “They’re simply kind in every encounter they have with people and what they do.” “And they’re incredibly skilled at what they do, like they hit their targets, they’re learning their techniques but they’re really accurate.”
The South Korean septet – Jungkook, J-Hope, RM, Suga, Jin, V, and Park Ji-min – didn’t win the Grammy for Best Pop Duo or Group Performance, but their stunning performance of the smash song Butter during the award event wowed the crowd.
“I’m not trying to throw shade or anything, but I was like, ‘Man, NSYNC, they got away with [expletive],” Trevor added, praising their fluid dancing routines.
“I was just thinking, ‘The dances these kids are doing,’ and then you think of the boy bands I grew up with—I’m like, [expletive],” he quipped.
