A WOMAN who is often subjected to nasty remarks from trolls has retaliated, saying that being fat does not mean she is not beautiful.

Tasha Flint’s TikTok page is full of videos, and she just submitted one in which she referred to herself as “chunky.”

This elicited a flurry of responses from viewers, some kind and others critical, but many of those who responded advised her not to “put yourself down.”

Someone other commented that she had a “great form,” and Tasha responded by posting another video.

“Once again, I see where this remark is coming from, yet I’m both. “I’m fat, and my figure is lovely,” she explained.

“I’m a UK size 16 to 18 and fall into the hefty category.” I mean, admitting something about oneself isn’t knocking myself down in any way; it’s simply recognising it.

“For a long time, terms like ‘chunky,’ ‘chubby,’ and ‘fat’ have been flung around as insults so frequently that when we hear somebody say that about themselves, we assume, ‘Oh, they must be putting themselves down.’

“That’s not the situation here – when I say I’m overweight or chunky, it’s not a positive or terrible thing – it’s the same as me saying, ‘I’ve got blonde hair, I’ve got blue eyes’ – it’s simply a truth about myself.”

Tasha noted in another video that she’s lost count of the number of backhanded remarks she’s gotten about her “beautiful face,” particularly in her previous job selling wedding gowns.

“I don’t think it was ever from the brides; it was more likely from a grandma, auntie, mother, or mother of the bride,” she explained.

“Typically, someone a little older. That doesn’t make it right.

“But I suppose they were of a generation when making a flippant remark like that was nothing to them – they wouldn’t think anything of it.”

“When I think about our generation now, I believe we’d be a little more attentive.”

“Because words sting and words cling.” And it has undoubtedly had an impact on me.”

Tasha concluded her video by saying, “Size does not equal beauty.” There’s more to life than a clothing label.”

“The more I watch you, the more I adore you, you’re incredibly amazing – you’ve transformed my view,” someone remarked in the comments area.

“Love this and love you!!!” another person wrote.

“People mean well but when they say you’re not it feels like they’re implying that chunky ISN’T also beautiful which it is.”
