According to a source, Queen Elizabeth will not attend the Easter Sunday Service this weekend.
The 95-year-old monarch, who has recently been the subject of health worries, generally attends the service at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor, but will unfortunately be unable to do so this year.
According to a source close to the Royal Family, Her Majesty is “not expected” to attend the service on Sunday, April 17.
The decision comes on the same day that the Queen was set to attend the Maundy Thursday ceremony at the chapel, which she cancelled last week.
While the Queen’s reasons for skipping this week’s activities have not been announced, she has previously cancelled several visits in recent months due to chronic health difficulties.
As previously reported by OK!, the monarch recently admitted to being “exhausted” during a stint with COVID-19 in February.
“It does leave one very tired and exhausted doesn’t it, this horrible pandemic,” she stated last week via video call while being honored by the Royal London Hospital as they opened a 155-bed COVID-19 ward named after her.
