A woman had high hopes that the Ukraine crisis resolved soon. A video posted on social media from the country’s capital, Kyiv, provides residents with a dismal ray of optimism.
There has been no hint of de-escalation in the 43 days since Russia invaded Ukraine. Thousands of women and children have left the war-torn country, and some devastating photos of suffering and despair have emerged.
A video of a lady putting flowers in Kyiv was shared by Richard Gaisford, Chief Correspondent for Good Morning Britain, he shared the video with the caption, “War is war, but flowers still need to be planted’ – the view of a Kyiv city gardener, bringing spring colour to the city. She’s hopeful that conflict will be over soon and wants the capital looking beautiful again.”

Now out of all the tweets I've seen this has floored me, my heart just melted, the hope of new life in a delicate flower amongst people who have gone through so much, they're delivering a powerful message indeed.

The definition of optimism. I cannot remember ever having so much admiration and respect for a country. Ukrainians are an example to us all of courage and dogged determination to save their country. We must keep giving them all the advanced weaponry they need to defeat Putin.
