Dwayne Johnson may have effectively ruled himself out of a comeback when he slammed Vin Diesel’s blatant attempts to assist one, but Fast & Furious 10 wasted no time in enlisting another tall, jacked, attractive, and charming movie star who grew up in Hawaii.

Jason Momoa was the first significant addition to the cast, with the Aquaman actor poised to take on Dominic Toretto and the Toretto family as the penultimate installment’s villains. Most recent Fast Saga villains have ended up teaming up with the heroes at some point, so there’s still a chance his mysterious persona may finish up on the side of good by the time Justin Lin wraps off the vast franchise.

Momoa gave the first insights about his opponent to Entertainment Tonight, although he didn’t go into too much detail, despite sounding ecstatic to be working with Diesel and fellow series regular Charlize Theron.

He’s amazing. He’s ornery. He’s misunderstood. I get to shoot with some really cool people that I have never worked with before—I get to work with Charlize [Theron] first, which I’m really excited about. She’s amazing. Then I get to go to some cool places. Obviously, I work with the whole cast—most of the cast. I’m sure that’s why they hired me. But yeah, I’m excited that I’m working with Vin. I’m excited that I’m working with Charlize. “

Fast & Furious 10 is set to begin filming soon, with a May 2023 release date in mind, and we’re excited to see what Momoa brings to the table as the franchise’s newest noteworthy A-list guest star.
