Meghan Markle would “never” have gotten the PR boost she did if she hadn’t married into the Royal Family, according to a royal expert.
According to US analyst Lee Cohen, the Duchess of Sussex would not have achieved her current degree of celebrity if she had not married Prince Harry.

“They’ve earned my disdain because they’ve handled Harry’s family so horribly in all of this,” he told the Daily Express. I don’t think it’s helpful for them to criticise the Royal Family.

“They got what they wished for. They took a step back because they were already well-known. They would never have had the sort of attention that she now has if she hadn’t married into this family.”

The Sussexes moved to California with their two-year-old son Archie and nine-month-old daughter Lilibet after leaving the UK in 2020.

Since then, the royal couple has signed lucrative multimillion-pound partnerships with Netflix and Spotify.

However, according to Royal expert Neil Sean, their lack of success in providing material might lead to a drop in agreements.

“You have to think about content, and then you have to develop it, write it, and maybe gain an audience on top of that.

“So it’s not as simple as they may have imagined, but when you become a large celebrity like Harry and Meghan are today, the bigger difficulty is that you have a golden moment.

“Everyone wants to sign you, and you receive invitations to events like the Oscars.”

“You are offered all of these massive agreements as we saw with the books deal along with is worth a lot of money even if he’s going to have to give some quite tawdry asides to ensure that people feel they’ve gotten their money’s worth,” he said.
