According to royal analyst Richard Kay, Prince Harry’s absence from Prince Philip’s memorial was most likely due to his difficulties in obtaining protection.

The Daily Mail’s Editor at Large feels it also demonstrates his schism with his family, which has reached a “pretty catastrophic point.”

“In part, I think it was probably because of this accusation that he wasn’t getting the protection he feels he needs for his family,” Kay adds.

“The other concern it raises is that it demonstrates exactly how deep the schism between Harry and the family is, and I believe it has now reached a rather critical stage.”
