Resigned in interest of state, nation & party: CM Usman

LAHORE: Outgoing Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar said on Tuesday that he had been resigning from the position in the interest of the country, the nation, and the party.

He tendered his resignation to Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday.

CM Punjab Usman Buzdar said that he presented his resignation to the premier as the position is entrusted to the government and the people.

“I will bid farewell to the position after the acceptance of my resignation”, he added.

While underscoring his plans for the future he maintained that PM Imran was his leader and he would always remain a soldier of PTI.

“I have been standing with my party in the dark times and the party will always have my back”, he said.

While referring to his resignation the outgoing CM said that he had no aspiration for the post and that his commitment is to the party and the people of Pakistan.

“Interest of the country and the nation is dearer to me”, he said.
