KARACHI: The uproar over an inappropriate dance party organized at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) has intensified.
Along with IBA teachers and Alumni, Karachi University students have now spoken out against the incident.
Student of Karachi University has staged a protest outside the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) main campus, against the viral video of a dance party organized at the IBA promoting ‘Homosexuality’. The Student unions demanded the administration stop promoting obscenity in society and protect the Pakistani culture.
Students were chanting slogans against the administration of IBA. The students were holding a placard saying, ‘Stop condemning the Ideology of Pakistan’, ‘stop promoting obscenity’ and many more.

An alliance of Students outfits at Karachi University, including Islami Jamiat Talba, Imamia Students organization, People Student Federation recorded their protest calling the incident extremely shameful.
While addressing the Protestants Umair Baig, spokesperson of Karachi University, said that it is a matter of great concern that all this has taken place on the main campus of IBA.
A wave of concern has run high. IBA students and Jamiat-e-Karachi have termed the incident as extremely shameful and called it against the country’s social values.
He further added, “An attack on Islamic values and ideology of Pakistan would not be tolerated.”
Some students protesting outside the IBA said that before this event many indecent concerts and other obscene programs have been organized in IBA.
He further said that earlier also the students of the same educational institution had assaulted a teacher of Karachi University who was rescued by the workers of Jamiat.
On several tries to reach out the spokesman of IBA Ayesha Ahmed, only a text message was received saying, “The administration was aware of the video that went viral online and had referred the matter to the Student Conduct Committee for The IBA Administration has taken cognizance of a video which is circulating online and the matter has been referred to the Student Conduct Committee for appropriate inquiry. The Committee is expected to give its findings this week and appropriate action will be taken as per IBA rules and regulations.”
On Thursday night some students of IBA has organized a “Homosexuality” concert, in which students danced in very sensual attire.
Videos of the dance party arranged by homosexual students at the backyard of the campus have gone viral on social media.
Several scantily clothed students are seen dancing in footage circulating on prominent social media sites. The IBA faculty has slammed the party for portraying it as a homosexual event, and it has enraged the staff and students who have called it disgusting and against societal norms.
