Kamyab Jawan Sports Drive will promote extra-curriculum activities: Gill

ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to the PM on Political Communication Dr Shahbaz Gill said on Monday that the Kamyab Jawan Sports Drive would promote extra-curriculum activities in the country.

Talking to the media in Islamabad, he said that playgrounds provide a level playing field to all sportsmen without any discrimination.

He urged the youth to participate in different games and support the government in exploring talent, said Radio Pakistan.

The youth of the country would be provided to present their performance in different games, and qualified players would be selected for games at the national and national level, Gill added.

PM special assistant also said that the promotion of sports in the country was the promise of Prime Minister Imran Khan, and it was being fulfilled according to his vision.

Gill said that the government would provide equal access to youth for quality sports with the coordination of provinces.

Kamyab Jawan Sports Drive

The Kamyab Jawan Sports Drive is being organized in collaboration with Kamyab Jawan Program and Higher Education Commission.

The drive is part of four projects worth Rs4 billion started in the country to keep the youth engaged in extracurricular and sports activities.

The event, in its first phase, consists of 12 games including hockey, cricket, football, handball, wrestling, weightlifting, squash, volleyball, ski, judo, boxing and Athletics.

Under this drive, sports competitions will be held for young people aged 11 to 25, including women across the country.

These competitions will be held at 25 places in all provinces, including Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Some 10 million youth will be selected in these competitions for world-class professional training.
