When a passenger lost his balance and fell into the gap between the platform and the moving Howrah-Mumbai Special train, the incident occurred at Kalyan station.
In Kalyan station, an alert railway pointsman saved a passenger from being crushed under the train.
The incident occurred at 11:54 a.m. on November 14 when the Howrah-Mumbai Special train pulled out of Kalyan station. Despite the train’s sluggish speed, the passenger lost his balance and fell into the gap.
In a video posted by Central Railway, the passenger was seen sliding between the railway station and the moving train.
Shivji Singh, the railway’s pointsman, then sprints along the moving train to pull the passenger out of the gap, as people on board notice the emergency and pull the chain.

The DRM Mumbai has posted the CCTV clip on its website to spread awareness and praise the pointsman.
According to a person who commented on the Twitter post, Kalyan station has been the scene of numerous similar instances in the recent past.
