Pakistan cities lead world's pollution ranking

The air quality in Lahore and Karachi has reached alarming levels, with both cities now ranking among the world’s most polluted urban centers.

Recent data shows that Lahore’s air is dangerously toxic, and Karachi isn’t far behind in terms of pollution severity.

  • Delhi: 1st (Most Polluted City)
  • Lahore: 2nd (346 PM) – Hazardous
  • Karachi: 3rd (208 PM) – Very Unhealthy

Air Quality Breakdown:

Lahore’s Air: The particulate matter (PM 2.5) in Lahore has surged to 346, placing the city in the hazardous zone.

Karachi’s Air: Karachi’s pollution levels are also severe, with a PM 2.5 reading of 208, putting it in the “very unhealthy” category.

Delhi continues to hold the top spot as the world’s most polluted city, with air quality far exceeding safe thresholds. Lahore and Karachi are not far behind, contributing to an urgent environmental crisis in South Asia.
