Star former national fast bowler Mohammad Amir has been named the captain of the new Abu Dhabi T10 League franchise, Quetta Cavalry, for the 2025 season.

The franchise management placed immense trust in Amir, choosing him to lead their squad in the fast-paced T10 format for the first time. They believe his significant experience, aggressive bowling style, and intense competitive spirit make him the perfect leader for their younger players.

Management expects Amir’s on-field aggression to establish Quetta Cavalry as a strong, formidable side.

Beyond being dangerous with the new ball, Amir is expected to play a vital role in mentoring and guiding the team’s promising bowlers.

The team features a balanced mix of talent, including players like Sikandar Raza, Abbas Afridi, and Mohammad Wasim Jnr.
