KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Thursday handed out free pink electric scooters to working women in Karachi, the News reported.
The Sindh government arranged the distribution ceremony, which was attended by Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah, Information Minister Sharjeel Memon, and other officials.
Speaking at the event, Bilawal said the PPP government is making every effort to provide better facilities for women, especially those who work. He also highlighted that Sindh was the first province to launch electric buses in Pakistan.
Distribution process:
The scooters will be given through a transparent balloting system, held in front of media representatives. A special committee, including members from the Excise, Transport, and Finance departments along with journalists, will oversee the process to ensure fairness.

- Working women who want to apply can follow these steps:
- Visit the Sindh Mass Transit Authority website.
- Go to the “Projects” section.
- Click on “EV Scooty Ballot Form – Application Form.”
- Fill in the form, attach the required documents, and submit them online.
