Speaking at a press briefing, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmed, said that Pakistan remains committed to the peaceful resolution of conflicts, in line with the principles of the UN Charter.
“Pakistan strongly believes in solving global disputes through dialogue, diplomacy, and mediation,” he stated. “We have always supported negotiated solutions to conflicts around the world.”
Ambassador Iftikhar also emphasized that during its presidency, Pakistan will bring global attention to the Palestine issue, highlighting the importance of justice and peace in the Middle East.
He further mentioned that Pakistan will chair a special meeting between the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the United Nations, focusing on enhancing cooperation between the two bodies.
“As the world faces rapidly changing dynamics, Pakistan is closely observing the evolving global situation and remains committed to promoting international peace,” he added.
