Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, attended the prayer breakfast hosted by US President Donald Trump.
The event took place on Wednesday in Washington and was attended by prominent figures from around the world.
During the ceremony, Bilawal Bhutto met with US officials and global leaders and also delivered a speech at the National Prayer Breakfast in the United States.
Speaking to the media after attending the event, Bilawal Bhutto stated, “President Donald Trump addressed the breakfast gathering. This event serves as a great opportunity to promote religious tolerance.”
The PPP chairman further emphasized, “We should view religion as a means of unity rather than division.” He also clarified, “I am not the Foreign Minister yet; my meetings here are in a personal capacity.”
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also stated that such interfaith programs are crucial to preventing division in society. He emphasized that there is room for further collaboration with overseas Pakistanis residing in the United States.
The PPP chairman further added, “People should be treated with equality. This is not just a national prayer event but a global one.”
