WhatsApp is testing a new bulk channel management feature with select beta users on iOS. This update allows users to manage multiple channels at once, streamlining tasks like muting, marking as read, or adjusting notifications.
With this feature, users can perform bulk actions more efficiently. For example, muted channels can be unmuted in one step, while non-muted channels can be muted simultaneously. This update also makes it easier to unfollow several channels at once, helping users clean up their subscriptions quickly.
Previously, users had to manage each channel individually, which was time-consuming, especially for those following many channels. Now, this improvement offers better flexibility and control over subscriptions, making the experience more user-friendly.
Availability
The feature is currently available to a limited group of beta testers using the latest WhatsApp beta for iOS via the TestFlight app. WhatsApp plans to expand this feature to more users in the coming weeks.
This update demonstrates WhatsApp’s commitment to enhancing user experience, providing a smooth and efficient way to manage channels and notifications.
