Google has launched a memory feature for its chatbot, Gemini, similar to OpenAI’s memory upgrade for ChatGPT earlier this year. This feature allows Gemini to remember your preferences and interests, enabling it to deliver more personalized and relevant responses tailored to your needs.
Users can share their preferences with Gemini during conversations or via the Saved Info page. This dedicated section also lets users view, edit, or delete their saved information at any time. Gemini notifies users whenever it utilizes their stored details, ensuring transparency.
Currently, this feature is available only in English for Gemini Advanced users under the Google One AI Premium Plan. Google highlights that opting for this feature ensures more consistent and predictable interactions, eliminating the need to repeat the same details in every chat.
This update marks a significant step in making AI interactions more intuitive and user-friendly, aiming to enhance the overall chatbot experience for its users.
