Asus ROG Phone 9 series specs and features leaked

Asus is gearing up to launch the much-anticipated ROG Phone 9 and ROG Phone 9 Pro on November 19. Leaks and rumors have already sparked excitement, giving a sneak peek into the specs and features of these gaming-centric smartphones.

The design of the ROG Phone 9 series is expected to resemble its predecessor, the ROG Phone 8, with a textured rear panel. It will likely come in Phantom Black and Storm White color options, keeping the aesthetics sleek and familiar.

The phones are rumored to feature 1080 × 2448 PMOLED displays with a 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate, offering smooth performance. A special Game Genie mode might even push the refresh rate to 185Hz for a superior gaming experience.

On the hardware front, the ROG Phone 9 is expected to start with 12GB RAM, while the Pro variant could boast a massive 24GB RAM, setting a new standard for gaming phones. Storage will start at 512GB for both models, ensuring ample space for apps and games.

Under the hood, the devices are confirmed to feature the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, capable of running AAA PC games seamlessly. Running on Android 15, the phones will support Wi-Fi 7, NFC, and even retain the 3.5mm headphone jack for gamers who prefer wired audio.

While these specs hint at powerful upgrades, they remain speculative until Asus officially confirms them. If the rumors hold true, the ROG Phone 9 Pro could claim the title of the most powerful gaming phone, surpassing competitors like Realme G17 Pro.
