  • The video, which gained millions of views, featured photos of Trump with Rodrigo’s song playing in the background.
  • Rodrigo’s opposition was made clear in a comment on the video, which was later confirmed to be fake.
  • The video now displays a message stating “This sound isn’t available.”

Olivia Rodrigo is trending on social media for taking action to have her hit song removed from a TikTok posted by Donald Trump’s team after his election victory. Trump’s official TikTok account posted the video on Wednesday following his win in the U.S. elections.

The TikTok, which quickly gained millions of views, showcased photos of the president-elect with Rodrigo’s hit song “Déjà vu” playing in the background. Rodrigo, known for her song “Driver’s License,” made her opposition clear by commenting on the video, “Ew, don’t use my sound ever again, ty.”

Though the comment was later confirmed to be fake, the Grammy-winning singer successfully had TikTok remove her song from the video. Now, the Republican video displays a message reading, “This sound isn’t available.”

Fans praised the star’s bold move, with one writing, “Thank you, Miss Olivia,” and another saying, “Olivia, the woman that you are.” Someone else simply called her “Queen Olivia.”

Rodrigo’s recent actions follow her vocal support for the opposing political party in the current elections. Last month, the “déjà vu” singer shared with *The Hollywood Reporter* that she had completed a mail-in ballot, marking her first time voting in an election.

“It is my first presidential election. I missed the last one. It’s very exciting. I cast my vote yesterday,” she said at the time.

“I did a mail-in ballot, and I went and I dropped it off at the polling station. It was very exciting,” the singer added.
