Binzer gained fame as the co-founder of the rap rock band Crazy Town, best known for their chart-topping hit “Butterfly.” Born on August 23, 1974, in Los Angeles, Binzer spent his childhood between Boston and Los Angeles. He was the son of filmmaker Rollin Binzer and Leslie Brooks. By age 12, he was back in Los Angeles, where he developed a passion for rapping and graffiti art.
In 1992, Binzer met Bret Mazur, and they began collaborating as The Brimstone Sluggers before forming Crazy Town in 1999. Their debut album, “The Gift of Game,” sold over 1.5 million copies, largely due to the success of “Butterfly,” which topped the Billboard Hot 100 and international charts.
During Crazy Town’s hiatus, Binzer showcased his versatility by collaborating with British producer Paul Oakenfold on the hit single “Starry Eyed Surprise” from Oakenfold’s album “Bunkka.”
