Actor Tom Hardy and actress Charlotte Riley have been married since 2014, having first met on the set of the TV adaptation of “Wuthering Heights” in 2009, where they portrayed Cathy and Heathcliff. Hardy proposed just a year later.
Their wedding took place on July 4, 2014, at the Château de Roussan, an 18th-century castle, attended by close family and friends, including Hardy’s son Louis from a previous relationship. The couple has since expanded their family, welcoming a daughter in 2015 and a son in 2019.
Riley, who hails from Teesside in northeast England, holds an English degree from Durham University and studied drama in London and clowning in Paris. She has built a successful acting career, with roles in “Peaky Blinders,” “Close to the Enemy,” and “Press,” among others. She also appeared in films such as “Edge of Tomorrow” and “London Has Fallen.”
