- Aspiring doctor left brain dead after Pushed into Lake by Friends.
Christopher Gilbert, aged 26, from Shreveport, Louisiana, recently graduated from Louisiana Tech University with a degree in Biology. He aimed to attend medical school to become a doctor.
However, his life changed tragically on April 14 during an outing with friends at Rhett’s Tail and Shells by Lake Darbonne in Farmerville, Louisiana.
Allegedly, his friends pushed him into the lake, where he remained underwater for almost 20 minutes. Fortunately, two strangers rescued him, and he was rushed to the hospital. Doctors initially thought he wouldn’t survive but, miraculously, he regained consciousness and even started eating on his own.
Despite facing setbacks, Christopher defied expectations and was taken off life support after more than two weeks in the hospital. Now, his family seeks justice for the incident and is pursuing legal action against both the friend who pushed him and the restaurant for negligence.
