Samsung’s reputation for fast charging technology on its phones is not as impressive as its competitors, with its flagship phones typically limited to 45W charging. This year’s models, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6, have been listed on the 3C certification platform, revealing no improvements in fast charging capabilities.
The Galaxy Z Flip 6 (SM-F7410) and Z Fold 6 (SM-F9560) both support only 25W wired charging, similar to their predecessors and lower than the 45W offered by some Galaxy S24 models. While the 3C website doesn’t specify the maximum supported charging speed, Samsung’s history suggests they are unlikely to exceed 25W.
The Z Flip 6 may see a slight increase in battery capacity from 3,700 mAh to 4,000 mAh, which is a positive albeit minor improvement. However, it’s disappointing that Samsung hasn’t made significant advancements in fast charging technology for its high-end phones.
