Eid is a significant occasion celebrated with enthusiasm by Muslims in the UAE and around the world. People in Islamic countries are currently fasting and eagerly anticipating Eidul Fitr.
This year, Eidul Fitr is expected to begin in the middle of the week in the United Arab Emirates. However, the holidays will commence a couple of days earlier to align with the first weekend.
Recently, the chairman of the Emirates Astronomical Association made a prediction about the Moon sighting. According to this prediction, Eidul Fitr 2024 will be celebrated a day later than initially expected.
Next month, the birth of the Shawwal Crescent will coincide with a total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024. If the Crescent is born before midnight, it can be seen after sunset the following day in the UAE and other Gulf regions. The Eid holidays will commence on the 29th day of Ramadan, with April 10-12 being key days of the Islamic event.
UAE residents will have the opportunity to combine two weekends with the Eid holidays, giving them a total of nine consecutive days off. This extended break will allow people in the UAE to relax, spend time with family, and celebrate Eid without work concerns.
