  • Samsung has released an update addressing dim display issues on the Galaxy S24 series.
  • This update responds to user feedback, allowing users to adjust display vibrancy to their preference.
  • Users can anticipate improved photography and videography experiences with the Galaxy S24 series.

After much anticipation, Samsung has finally introduced an update to tackle the issue of dim displays on the Galaxy S24 series. Set for release this month, the firmware will be accessible for the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra models, featuring a new “Vividness” slider in the Advanced Display settings.

Although the menu is present in the current software, it lacks this particular slider. Samsung acknowledges that it initially chose a more natural default screen setting but has now decided to respond to user feedback. As a result, users who prefer a more vibrant Super AMOLED display can now adjust the slider according to their preference, offering increased flexibility and customization choices.

The update will introduce new camera features with deliberately ambiguous wording. However, Samsung has hinted at various enhancements, including the “device’s zoom functions, Portrait Mode, Nightography, rear camera video shooting capabilities, and more.”

This mysterious hint suggests that users can expect a range of enhancements geared towards enhancing their photography and videography experiences with the Galaxy S24 series.

The update has not yet reached several regions, including Europe, so users will need to be patient until it becomes available on their smartphones.

Call recording over Wi-Fi

Regarding updates, Samsung has recently activated a helpful feature on the Galaxy S24 and certain other phones through One UI 6.1. This update introduces call recording for Wi-Fi calls, also referred to as VoWiFi.

For those who may not be familiar, VoWiFi enables calling over a Wi-Fi connection when cellular reception is weak. This feature is conveniently located within the phone’s settings menu under Other Call Settings.
