Heavy fog has persisted in Punjab and other parts of the country, due to which 12 domestic and foreign flights have been canceled, Bol News reported on Friday.
According to aviation sources, six flights were shifted to alternative airports due to very low visibility at the destinations, while 37 flights from Lahore, Islamabad, Karachi, and Peshawar were canceled on Thursday as well.
Furthermore, the private airline flight from Jeddah to Lahore was landed in Karachi after an hour of waiting in the air. The flights from Dubai to Multan, Dammam, and Kuwait City to Sialkot were landed in Islamabad, while Bahrain and two flights from Karachi to Lahore were also diverted to Islamabad.
Apart from this, two flight flights of Lahore Karachi PIA were cancelled, a Saudi Airline flight from Jeddah to Lahore, two flights of Islamabad Karachi private airline, and one flight to Sharjah were cancelled.
Moreover, 2 private airline flights from Multan to Jeddah, 3 flights from Karachi to Dammam, and 3 flights from Gwadar were cancelled.
